Starbase 417 Sectors

The deck layout of Starbase 417 is divided into individual sections, each identified by a specific colour and representing a different module of the starbase.

Grey Sector

Decks: 1-24, Towers

Grey Sector, also known as the administration module, is the first module of the starbase. This sector is home to the base's command and operations centers, including the operations headquarters of Starfleet's 10th Fleet, the 17th Marine Regiment (the "Vikings") and the 31st Air Group (the "Valkyries"). It also includes the majority of the Starfleet administration offices and base's diplomatic facilities, as well as its communication arrays.

The module is divided into a lower section (situated underneath the towers and connecting to the drydock module), extending downward from Deck 1 to 24, and an upper section comprising the towers and communications arrays. Each of the towers has a separate number of levels is not included when counting the starbase's total number of decks.

Towers

• Tower 1: Diplomacy Tower - Tower 1 contains the offices of the Diplomatic Relations staff and the foreign representatives stationed on Starbase 417.
• Tower 2: Strategic Operations Tower - Tower 2 is home to the Strategic Operations Department, including the Logistics Office and the JAG Office.
• Tower 3: Security Tower - Tower 3 contains the main offices of the Security Department, including the Investigations Office.
• Tower 4: Communications Tower - Tower 4 contains the offices of the Communications Department.
• Tower 5: Conference Hub - Tower 5 is the largest of the towers. A dome-shaped tower, it contains a number of conference chambers and a multipurpose assembly hall capable of seating up to 55,000 people.
• Tower 6: Starbase Operations Hub - Tower 6 is the second dome-shaped tower containing Starbase 417's Operations Center, as well as the offices of the senior command and the Operations Department.
• Tower 7: Fleet Operations Hub - Tower 7 is the third dome-shaped tower containing the majority of the 10th Fleet's administrative offices and the Fleet Operations Center.
• Tower 8: Fleet Executive Tower - Tower 8 is home to the offices of 10th Fleet's senior staff.
