Located in a trojan orbit with Darius IV, Darius III was once more habitable- though it was likely never to Class M standards. Over time, the planet has lost about 80% of its atmosphere. Its core has solidified by 60%. Darius III has a tepid, unstable magnetic field that flips and collapses often. It has ceased most volcanic and seismic activity. Darius III was settled second by the Darius Colonial Charter, largely for the purposes of mining. In 2179, the Darius Charter was granted. In 2230, the Charter was expanded to begin the process of the Darius III Triage Initiative. Settlers of Darius III plan to attempt to bring Darius III back to its period of habitability, some 2 billion years ago. The result will likely be a Class H world.
