At a Glance
Throughoput a short, violent history, the Nausicaan species has vacillated between warring periods, slavery, and occasional peace. The Nausicaans are almost certainly not native to the planet recognized as their homeworld: the fauna there is too primitive to allow the rise of a sapient predator. The Nausicaan mind equally sees this world not as their cradle, but as their crucible- a place that molds them, purifies them and tests them. They, in turn, see Nausicaa as a place to use and conquer, it's resources there to be taken.
Like resources and land, Nausicaans believe that rulership must be taken- and only the strongest, smartest, and most cunning are capable of holding it. That leader is called, "The Nausic."
