At a Glance
Starbase 15 is the seat of command and operations for the Denobula-Antara Sector which includes Izar. As one of the last starbases completed in the initial Federation charter, Starbase 15 is a major hub for Starfleet as well as numerous Federation operations. Starbase 15 is the coreward distribution facility for the Federation Merchant Marine and the Earth Cargo Service. Starfleet Intelligence has a small cell of analysts aboard. Despite this, Starbase 15 is not a large station by any means, similar in size to a Galaxy-class Starship.
Starbase 15 is not in orbit of Denobula Triax, but is located at that world's L2 LaGrange Point, about two million kilometers further out. Its orbit is synchronous with Denobula, always keeping it within two million kilometers. The view of Denobula from Starbase 15's view ports is synonymous with an object about the same size as a full moon on Earth.
