At a Glance

The Orion Neutrality Pact has come into being several times since the collapse of the last Orionic Empire. It is a political agreement among most of the Orion worlds to disavow any individual Orion Qaj's actions to influence or change the political powers around it. In principle, the modern pact is a declaration of neutrality in the foreign affairs of the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire and the United Federation of Planets. In practice, the Neutrality Pact allows for Orion commerce through the Klingon Neutral Zone; the Romulan Star Empire has seldom allowed Orion trade into their space, save through Corvallen, Barolian or Elohsian intermediaries.
