Starfleet Type 3 Enhanced Compression Rifle Model 2380

The Model 2380 enhanced compression rifle is an upgrade to the standard compression phaser rifle model of 2372 that could fire both phaser blasts and grenades. This version sports a higher rate of phaser rifle, a nose-mounted grenade launcher and rangefinder that makes it suitable for all mission types. 

Initially developed for "Hazard" Teams, it made it's way through to Starfleet Special Forces when Voyager returned home in 2378, and by 2380 it was approved for fleet wide deployment.
