Welcome to the Sim Central Wiki, the sum of our collected RPG Canon, based primarily on Star Trek. This resource is here as a one-stop location so GMs, players, and visitors may look up the governments, planets, technology, and species encountered in our RPG writing. Our Wiki is here to help make character creation a little easier, and a richer experience. Need an idea for a Human colony for a character background? Are the Trill members, affiliates, or non-aligned in this era? We are compiling all we can here. Below we also have useful links to resources for generating interesting characters.

Whenever possible, the Sim Central Wiki is sticking to Memory Alpha canon (the canon produced in the shows). We are filling in the empty spots where necessary, as player interest or plot dictates. So we are also interested in worldbuilding and enriching the canon that already exists, and making it our own. Some of it is based on Memory Beta, which is taken from comics, books, RPG game systems, and video games. Some we recognize as canon or potential canon, but some we do not.

As a player or visitor, you may encounter WIP pages (works in progress) or fairly scant entries. We welcome player input on creating Sim Central's canon pages. Players may, within reason, create species, colonies, or planets so long as it doesn't contradict Memory Alpha or your individual sim's existing canon.

For Writing:
Grammarly: Grammarly is free (unless you want to pay the premium for extra help) and has plugins for most Browsers. Helpful for spell-checking and clarity.

Star Trek Canon:

Memory Alpha: Accepted Star Trek canon (we try not to contradict Alpha as its canon).

Memory Beta: Beta-Canon of Star Trek. Take it or leave it for personal canon ideas.

Calculating Stardates: We are using the year "1952" as the year for calculating Stardates.

Warp Speed/Distance/Time Calculator: Make sure it's set to "TOS."

For Image Editing:

Cygnus X-1: A good site for Discovery screencaps.

Trek Core Discovery Screencaps: A good site with HQ screencaps to use to edit a character into uniform (this is not required).
