At a Glance
Speer, the largest and farthest of Vondem's moons, is a ball of differentiated ices and rock. Pressure from gravitational forces and internal churning allows for temporary pockets of slushy water caverns to form between 50-100 kilometers below the ice crust. Below that is a largely rock and metal core. The moon is only sparsely populated with no explicit purpose or function beyond housing a few thousands eccentrics and scholars who wish to live life away from Vondem, on a comparatively frozen and unsettled rock. The "dark side" of Speer is littered with solar cells and ion plasma collectors which Speer sells to Vondem as power.
