At a Glance
Chargh'vor-chal is an abandoned Batlh Heghpu'-class Outpost found within the Azure Nebula. The station itself was abandoned sometime around the start of the Dominion War, as it was no longer needed. The purpose or origin of Chargh'vor-chal is not public knowledge but it was probably meant to be moved into the orbit of a nearby world. The Klingons used these stations for occupation during the years of Arcanis raids. Stations like Chargh'vor-chal were positioned around a small number of Cardassian and outlier planets during the Klingon-Cardassian War. Most were subsequently destroyed by the Dominion during the early months of the Cardassian-Dominion Alliance.
Chargh'vor-chal has been abandoned for almost twenty-five years and is a snapshot of Klingon technology from around the era of the Arcanis Raids and Dominion War. But the station has been discovered, used and pillaged on a number of separate occasions.
Condition
Nearly three decades inside the Azure Nebula has degraded Chargh'vor-chal's outer ablative armor, and bleached the usual crimson and verdigris of Klingon materials. Blackening corrosion covers about 60% of its hull surface. In some areas of the station, bulkheads have failed enough to allow micro-fractures- and the sections are subsequently exposed to nebular gases.
Subsequent Occupations
The Klingon House of Mo'Kai
The Mo'Kai seem to have occupied it at some point in the late 2370s or early 2380s as their moniker is on one of the ablative panels for the siege disruptor. There is no evidence they stayed long- it may have been set up as a safe house for Be'etor- Klingon Intelligence- and as a listening post during Shinzon's coup d'etat of the Romulan Senate. The presence of the Mo'Kai is most noted in the ablative hull sections of the siege disruptors. Compartment after compartment were turned into cubicles for the Mo'Kai's honored dead. This practice, which they began with their allegiance to T'Kuvma in the 23rd Century, is contrary to most Klingon burial practices. The Mo'Kai have a reverence for their honored dead and the presence of these sarcophagi might mean the Mo'Kai are shifting resources to a safe zone outside of the Klingon Empire.
