The Isonzo Star System, known in the Federation database as BD+18 1563 Isonzo was named by Giulietti Isonzo, the 22nd Century astronomer aboard the Starship Daedalus who first scanned the system. She named it after her home region and her grandfather, who was a miner that died in the Isonzo mountains. BD+18 1563 Isonzo is over thirty light-years from the coreward-trailing frontier of the Federation.
