The natives of Chol identify themselves more readily by their castes than their homeworld. Currently led by a brutal regime under the Torothan Clan, Cholan civilization has endured a long series of sporadic internecine conflicts over the last one hundred years. Dissident castes such as the Zobral frequently foment insurrection against the dominant regime but thus far, no particular caste has toppled the Torothan.
